About Us

HangStop is a unique, fun web 2.0 social networking site that allows people to meet other people to hang out with. Each member gets a customizable profile and can post hangouts and how many people they'd like to join them. Members can also list their availability and hangout interests, search people by availability and hangout interest and invite people to hang out with them.

HangStop was developed by Abdullah (David) Yahya. The idea began when he was traveling in China. He wanted to visit Hong Kong but his friends wanted to stay in Guangzhou so he looked for a way to meet people in Hong Kong to hang out with. Unfortunately, HangStop didn't exist at the time so he had to use a personals site to try and accomplish the same goal. After returning to the United States, he eventually developed HangStop to meet the needs of people who are just looking to meet other people to hang out with and have fun.
